Re: PCB Stencil

Hello Pedro, in general, yes it is possible to do something like this with a 3d printer. I know someone who 3d prints a thin plastic etching stencil directly on a copper board, and then does PCB etching (and removes the plastic afterwards) to create his own custom PCBs. And he has a 3d printer with ...

Re: Pronterface - echo: cold extrusion prevented

Your printer obviously does a restart when trying to heat. I would guess that the cause is a shorted extruder heater output (i.e ether wrong wiring or defective heater). Could also be a power supply issue.

Re: Mid-print extrusion stoppages and replacement parts

Hello Srobb, I don't have much experience with ABS, but did you try increasing the extrusion temp? Maybe 240°C will solve these problems. Or maybe less retraction?

[INFO] My experiences

Hello hBp community Lets say you wanted to print a big object with very fine resolution and started an ultra long print. Everything worked fine for the first hours, and you left the house to do something else. ;) But when you came back unfortunately you discovered that only half of your object was p...

Re: Not able to print anything

I believe the nozzle was too high above the printing table. You should configure / calibrate the Z-axis endstop to decrease the first layer height, so that the filament sticks better to the table. Do you use plue painters tape?

Re: Not able to print anything

You must not tighten the screws too much. If there is too much pressure between filament guidance wheel and extruder gear wheel then this will bend the filament to the side instead of guiding it down into the extruder. On the other hand, if the pressure is too low then the gear wheel can not grip th...

Re: Filament Filter (dual)

Great! Spacy design and good functionality. Maybe a part similar to this should be supplied with the kit or at least be one of the official files for self-printing. However, maybe some minor improvements might be possible. Why not close the filter partially on the top side (inlet) so that you can pl...

Re: Two DIN912 M4x16 needed, one supplied?

You need only one M4x16, for A11.
The label for the screw in part D3 of the V4 assembly manual is incorrect. You need the cyl head M4x30 there.

Re: Regular layer offset - Z wobble?

Hi Prema, I believe that the problem is caused by the printed guide shoes that try to connect the linear rods to the steel frame, as indicated by jorges post. They break very easily and if they are not perfectly tight then the linear rods can move a little bit and can not stabilize the position. So ...

Re: TPE filament not working with drive gear

Is there a simple way to replace the drive gear? Hello Max Yes, it is possible to replace the drive gear. I successfully did it, when I had extruder jamming problems. The gear wheel was slipping and I also thought that the bluntness was the reason. However, I do not recommend doing so since this pr...
