3B’s research group is using bioprinting to create and maintain in laboratory 3D living models of skin tissue to study some skin diseases and test new therapies.

After using original BIOPRINTER for several years, custom developed by BEEVERYCREATIVE, the institute challenged us to create a new equipment, able of bioprinting more complex structures for use in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.

BIOPRINTING

The artificial creation of human skin, tissue and internal organs is no longer science fiction. Although still in the early stages, bioprinting is offering new treatment methods and scientific study. In future, bioprinting will be commonly used in health care and personalized medicine.

The hydrogel biomaterial turned out to be crucial for this development. Its high water storage capacity, as well as its biocompatibility and biodegradability features make it ideal to be applied in Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering areas.
