Stepper current changes forgotten

More wasted filament today stepper current needs to be increased fro.500 to around 650. I keep on making this change and storing settings but the printer keeps losing it. Poorly wound filament lost settings and huge price reductions should have stuck to the bee prusa

Hello Rick,

the stepper current is set in the start gcode in cura,

Code: Select all

M906 X700 Y700 Z925 E1100
(this is the code present on the latest profile)
This is set this way to ensure consistent operation from print to print despite of alteration done on screen, if you want a permanent change you need to update it there, the option on the screen is only for on the fly adjustment.
Alternately you can remove the current definition mcode in cura and then set is on the lcd making sure to save it to EEPROM after change.

By the way the default XY current is 700mA, altough you can safely use up to 900mA.
All profiles available online use 700mA, so your profile/gcodes are probably old and you should upgrade to the latest profile and re-generate the gcodes, profile available here : https://github.com/beeverycreative/B2X300-resources.

If you ever find any problem or complication don't hesitate to contact!

Best regards
