Hey guys,
the easter bunny brought me some TMC 2208 stepper driver.
I installed all correctly and adjusted the voltage of every driver to 0.85 V. Is this correct or higher with 1.2 Volts?
In the controll settings I saw, that there are now only 80 steps per mm. Is this correct or should it be around 160 steps per mm?
I have not printed yet because I run out of filament
But the noise difference is incredible.

Hello Benji,
0.85V on the potentiometer, considering the stepper drivers current measurement resistors are equal to the original (some chinese clones change it) means you are providing 0.6A which is a little low for the original stepper motors which are rate at 1.68A.
I would recommend raising it to at least 1.4V or about 1A of current so you have a good ammount of torque, this is specially important for the extruder, the other axis usually work well with lower currents, if you want you can try diffent settings as long as you don't exceed 1.7V and have proper cooling on the drivers there shouldn't be a problem.
The steps should be 80 for the TMC2208 if you did not change the jumpers bellow the stepper drivers.

Additionaly the time which Simplify3D estimates is now correct. Before there was always a big difference.
I recommended this update for everyone.
I created a longer fan support, because the heat sinks of my TMC2208 are a bit longer.

Hello...i think the lines on the firmware are clear as crystal, you uncomment the first in the event that you need the TMC2208 on the extruder just or the second line on the off chance that you supplant every one of the 5 stepper drivers. Other than that you simply need to change the stepper drivers themselves
