Hello there Rick Rick,

According to the datasheet of the TCM2208, with the motors suplied with the helloBEEprusa you can use up to 2.40V without exceding the motor limit, try increasing it slowly until you have no more problems :)

Guys, I finally fitted 5 off 2208's.
XYZ now very quiet.
Only problem is Z axis travels wrong direction when homing (Z+).
Have tried various inverting directions of endstops to correct but no luck.
Can anyone suggest what to change in the firmware?
Normal xyz axis movement by manual mode are correct.
Thanks
Halford

Hello,

This morning I installed 5 pieces TMC2208 stepper drivers.
Adjusted the Voltage to 0,8V.

Printing is very smooth now and SILENT !
I decided to install these drivers, inspired by this highly appreciated Forum !

I think this is an important quality upgrade for the HBP.

Thanks,
Chriz

Hello Chriz the difference was night and day in my case, now I can easily fall asleep or see a movie with the printer working next to me hehe
I bet you will also see a print quality improvement, specially on the wall consistency.

Hello MrDoom,
my printer is also very quiet now, also print quality improved in a great way because of the smooth movement.
i am impressed !

Hi Halford,
i didn't have any problems, with auto home.
just unquoted the 2 lines as shown here below and uploaded the firmware.
// -Trinamic TMC2208/2100 on the extruder
#define hBp_TMC2208ext
//
// -Trinamic TMC2208/2100 on all axis
#define hBp_TMC2208all

Hello, thanks for the reply.
I believe my problem lies in having an inductive probe fitted.
I'll contact customer support for help.
