Re: Sort of kinda accidentally set my printer on fire.

It looks like that was the main problem. I cut off those tabs and reconnected it, and that has solved most of my problems. The screen works, the X and Y axis seem to move right, the Z is a little wonky and I still trying to determine if the extruder steppers are moving right. But progress is being m...

Re: Sort of kinda accidentally set my printer on fire.

I have replaced the Motherboard, all stepper drivers, the Y-stepper (it froze), both cooling fans for the stepper drivers, the power supply, the lcd screen. I have not measured the power supply output, but I can check that. I thought maybe I had the cables reversed, but I double checked them and the...

Re: Sort of kinda accidentally set my printer on fire.

Okay, now I a befuddled again. I have replaced all of the damaged parts and I have loaded new firmware, but it is still doing the same thing it did before the firmware load. The green light [D3] comes on on the top left of the board and the speaker on the screen board repeatedly beads/chirps at me, ...

Re: Sort of kinda accidentally set my printer on fire.

I have replaced the main board and all of the axis/extruder controllers, put on new cable ends for the ones that burned, replaced one stepper motor which was frozen, and the fans for the main board, plus the power supply. Now I think I need to load firmware. Then we will see where we are at. Thank y...

Re: Sort of kinda accidentally set my printer on fire.

I found the parts for the cable connectors on Amazon as well as the Power supply (which has a green light that will turn on, but no fans in it spin). Unfortunately, I don't know the exact specifications of the main board which is also shot. I have not yet contacted customer support, I am in the US s...

Sort of kinda accidentally set my printer on fire.

I was printing one morning and one of the heat sinks fell off of one of my axis controllers, it then overheated and caught on fire. So now I need to repair it. I need to replace the 4-pin connectors to all 5 stepper motors, a 3-pin connect to the z-axis end stop, two cooling fans, the main boa...

Re: Blown Fuses

Thanks for the ideas. I will probably just replace the power supply.

Blown Fuses

The fuse blew on my printer yesterday mid-print, killing all power to the machine, as designed. So I replaced it today and the fuse instantly blew again after turning it on. Is this a sign that the power supply died? If so, what are the specs for getting a replacement power supply and what are peopl...
