I-EXPERIENCE CENTERS 4.0

BEEVERYCREATIVE, SIEMENS AND CADFLOW OPEN I-EXPERIENCE CENTERS 4.0 IN PORTUGAL

BEEVERYCREATIVE, the leading 3D printer manufacturer in Portugal, has established a partnership with Siemens Portugal and CadFlow to open i-Experience Centers 4.0 in Portugal.
The i-Experience Centers 4.0 are experimentation centers created to promote Industry 4.0 projects in Portugal. These centers represent the integration of a large industrial process, from drawing to production, and will connect and promote differentiation initiatives to modernize the industry.
These centers will be open to companies, start-ups and universities, amongst others, and all the equipment will be accessible to anyone who wants to experiment with it. The first center has already been inaugurated on February 19th at Siemens Portugal HQ, with the presence of Minister of Economy, Manuel Caldeira Cabral, and State Secretary for Industry, Ana Teresa Lehmann.

In January 2017, António Costa, Prime Minister of Portugal, announced a series of measures to accelerate the diffusion and adoption of Industry 4.0 concepts and practices by Portuguese companies.
Industry 4.0, also known as the 4th Industrial Revolution, consists of the current industrial transformation with automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies, the creation of “smart factories” through Cloud Computing, IoT and Additive Manufacturing.
BEEEVERYCREATIVE is one of the entities selected by the Portuguese government to take part in the Industry 4.0 movement. One of the first actions is the opening of the i-Experience Centers in partnership with Siemens Portugal and CadFlow. BEEVERYCREATIVE’s part in this project is to equip the Centers with 3D printers, so that the public can test and print projects, as well as, provide support with its vast knowledge in 3D Printing.

Aurora Baptista, BEEVERYCREATIVE’S CEO, considers the centers to be extremely important and “part of our enthusiastic contribution to stimulate the modernization process in the Portuguese industry with concepts from the 4th Industrial Revolution”. António Mira, Industry Director at Siemens Portugal, mentions the importance of preparing resources for the 4th Industrial Revolution, saying “Our goal is to help in the training of everyone who wants to join us in the industry transformation and give them the tools necessary to help the country take this technological leap”.
Carlos Melo, Product Manager at CadFlow, states that “The i-Experience Centers will work as testing labs to design, test and validate solutions within the Industry 4.0 paradigm, open to the academic community and business incubators.”
