PETG and TPU Capabilites

Post by Danegerous1 » 23 Jun 2019, 19:44

Hello,

I'm looking into purchasing a DIY kit type 3D printer and came across this one. Can anyone tell me about the capabilities of this printer in handling PETG and TPU filaments? There doesn't seem to be many reviews/people in general who own this printer. So i'm wondering about its capability/reliability.

Hello Danegerous1,

I've personally printed lots of PETG, with amazing finish, on this machine, TPU only small test parts so far but it should hold up well if you print the flexible filament adapter that guides de filament :)

As for the reliability being a kit that has lots of parts and pieces it always depends a lot on the assembly of the printer but when correctly assembled it simply works print after print :)

Domingos,

Thank you for the reply and advice! I think I have decided that I will end up buying this printer, though I think I might wait for one of those 10% deals to come around to offset the high cost of shipping to send over to the U.S. Any clue on if one of those deals is coming up in the near future?
