Thoughts on B2X300 vs Prusa MK3S

Post by tjlqk3 » 27 Mar 2019, 21:07

I'm in the market to purchase a new ~$800-1k printer and came across this one. I really dig the design and features of this but is it worth it over the Prusa and its community. I personally think so but asking around.

Hello tjlqk3,

Welcome to our community, we will try to help you solve any problem you find with your printer :)
As for it's worth since I am a little biased being a part of the company I will leave that to the community  nonetheless I personally use my B2X300 for all my 3D prints.
Feel free to ask any technical questions that you might have about the printer as well.

Best regards

I actually took a leap and purchased the b2x300 Friday. I really love the simplicity of the design and honestly the mechanical leveling vs the probe. Hoping for a good experience! Will probably upload a video or two on my YouTube channel to talk about it.

You will really really like it. I had to use calipers to fine tune the leveling though because of the tight tolerances and recommend you do the same. Getting the parallelism of the x carriage to the build plate and the x rails to each other is critical.

Good luck with your build, you will enjoy it!

@tjlqk3, awesome! Welcome to the club! You too @sn3k :D

I'm looking forward for your videos! Feel free to share your prints and tweaks (unfortunately, there isn't yet a lot of B2X300 content here).

If you need help, don't hesitate to open a new thread and we'll jump right in! :geek:

Cheers!
