Need help with Simplify3D settings

Hello from Finland!

I bought my HBP last summer and got it up and running in fall but from the start I have been struggling with the printing settings and now I'm running out of ideas. Lately I've managed to get it print with quite ok quality but it starts to fail with speeds under 35mm/s. The extruder gear starts to click 'n clack and filament won't run smoothly thru the nozzle. This morning I managed to print a full test squirrel but the top of the head is really bad again, before it wouldn't even print nothing above eye level.

I have printed some 30x30 cubes with success but when it comes to more complex forms it starts to struggle. I have tried to find the answer from here but couldn't... or just didn't find it :)
I have made the suggested things like setting the voltage etc.

Hello LammaOlle,

I just took a look at your setting and the only things I would change are both the temperature and retraction speed reducing both, the retraction to 1000 and the temperature to 195ºC if you are using Beeverycreative brand filament or even lower for others as the lower extrusion temperature avoids extrusion problems due to heat creeping upwards throught the heatbreak.

Also ensure you have executed all the assembly improvements here ( viewtopic.php?f=8&t=784 ), they help A LOT with the extrusion issues the printer exhibits, pay special attention to page: 3,4,5,6,17,18 as they had the most improvement of all :)

Give some feedback once you try that.

I reduced temp and retraction like you told and now I also managed to print the filter and added that so now I can print full objects :lol:
Print quality isn't that good but now I can start to tweak and find the best setting.
