Post by Tizz » 06 Oct 2015, 11:15

Hello Bee users, just a general question on what type of filaments you use or have used that has worked well without any problems?

Hello,

I've just used PLA from BeeVeryCreative, but hope soon try ABS, Flexible and already testing metal ones but with no success so far (maybe lack of experience :) )
Thanks

Hello, wich metal filament are you using? We can try to search for the recomended settings for them.
Can you post some pictures of your results? That may help!
Thanks

in this post I've already place some questions.

https://beeverycreative.com/forum/viewt ... p?f=8&t=49

I'm using Colofabb filaments:
Bronze
Brass
Copper
XT (filament between PLA and ABS)

and in neither cases was able to print a cube with 20x20x10 always in 0,1 in Z.

The setting presented by colorfabb didn't produce any good results and after changing some setting did not improve anything...
Thanks

Filipe

Hey Andre,

Great examples. Just curious to what settings you have used for the materials other than PLA? And which brand have you had more success?

Thanks

Hi Tizz,
we are currently trying many filament brands and several CURA settings to make sure that works on all helloBEEprusa.
When we complete this work we will have a list with more details such as brand and the corresponding settings.

For now I can share some standard settings for some type of material
Flexible
Layer height: 0.2mm
Printing temperature: 240ºC
Bed temperature: 60ºC
Print speed: 20mm/s
Retraction speed: 40mm/s
Retraction distance: 4.5mm
Flow: 100%
Cool minimal layer time: 5s
Accel: 500

other settings for Flexible
Layer height: 0.2mm
Printing temperature: 230ºC
Bed temperature: 0ºC
Print speed: 20mm/s
Retraction speed: 50mm/s
Retraction distance: 4.5mm
Flow: 100%
Cool minimal layer time: 5s
Accel: 500

Wood
Layer height: 0.2mm
Printing temperature: 215ºC
Bed temperature: 0ºC
Print speed: 30mm/s
Retraction speed: 40mm/s
Retraction distance: 4.5mm

Cool minimal layer time: 5s
Accel: 500

ABS
