Hi all,

It seemed like a nice idea to share the settings you have most success with including a sample print with these settings.

I am currently using cura and slic3r and am now leaning more towards slic3r since it somehow prints more relaxed.

Cura seems to sometimes make an infill in really tight spots causing the printer to rapidly move and eventually vibrate which does not really look benificial for the printer.

Hi grimmthesilent,

which material are you using?
Have you followed any method to tune parameters or mainly trial and error?

I've just start using helloBEEprusa. I will give feedback as soon I have something to share.

it´s pla from a local shop in the netherlands.

I got the right settings through trial and error(still improving it every print). One of the most important things is to level the bed nicely. Also try using the prusa screen while it is printing to slightly adjust the nozzle temperature until the filament comes out easily and also use it to adjust the flow(amount of extruded material) every other layer until the layers are perfect.

My first print was really really ugly so just keep trying till you get there :D.

I am back to cura slicer constantly crashed where cura did not. I like that cura is also more clean easy to use and faster.

I changed my settings again I will post them and a sample soon. I saw you also modified a lot could you share some of your prints?

My only issue seems some z axis wobble, only a mild case, as described in other topics which I am going to work on now :-).

I believe that I have the same issue regarding the wobble on the Z axis although I haven't printed any piece with enough height to make sure that this happens...

Tonight I decided to use Slicer again and downloaded the latest stable version.
I'm printing with Bee Pla clear at 56% speed, 215° temp, 65° Bed. 0.2 layer height, 0.5mm nozzle. So far the outcome is pretty darn good. I'm printing this faster than usual (usually 30%) and it's flying thru the design. (Will post pics once finished). Infill was set to 50% but should of made this at 20%.
I'm trying to achieve faster print times while maintaining standard quality.

Hello guys!

After I have assembeled my Hellobee, I startet to print, but the first results where not so good.
I tried different temperatures and so on but I am really unsure about the printing speed.
The bee joggled heavily during infill. I Think all speeds are to high.
I use Cura.

With which speeds did you have good experience? What can you recommend?
Or did I another mistake?

Benji, if you want good precise prints slow down the speed.
Good quality prints means longer print times.

A good starting point for PLA is 215 temp, 60 bed temp, 15 to 25 mm per sec for walls, 20 to 35mm for infill.
I use a really slow feed for the first layers @ 5 to 15mm, this provides a good base layer to stick and provide solid foundation for next layers.
Before starting print set nozzle temp manually and feed some filament thro, should be nice and fluid.
