Can the CPU of the mainboard be overclocked to squeeze some more mm/s speed from the printer?

Hello finas,

No the board cannot be overclocked as it would mess up the timing used in multiple processes on the printers firmware.

The printer can be sped up significantly if it is assembled correctly you just need to tune your Cura settings to match you specific printer/material combo.
For example some changes that can be made without significant quality loss:
- the infill speed can go as high as 120mm/s
- the inner wall speed can be increased to 60mm/s
- the travel speed can be increased to 160-250mm/s (be careful as faster speeds are more likely to collide with already printed parts you need to find a compromise with the parts you print)
- top/bottom speed up to 120mm/s depending on the material 70-80mm/s should be a safe bet

Once again this is very dependent on the correct assembly and calibration of the printer.

Best regards
